Also in Palisade is Plum Creek Vineyards and Winery. Founded in 1985, this is one of Colorado’s oldest wineries and is run entirely by women, owner/founder Sue Phillips, head winemaker Jenne Baldwin-Eaton and assistant vinter Paula Butler. Plum Creeks’ blends are very popular, including Palisade Red and Palisade Festival (3708 G Rd., Palisade; 970-464-7586).
