Rocker Spirits: Classic Spirits in Modern Glassware
Rocker Spirits creates classic spirits with lots of taste, but they are not necessarily unique. Their vodka, rum, and whiskey will stand up with the best of American spirits. However, the boys at Rocker don’t just take pride in their spirits, they also take pride in the vessels that hold their spirits. While they may not have won medals for their liquids (yet), they have won numerous awards for the unique bottle.
This bottle, which is modeled on an antique oil can, is round and can right itself after you pour. One of the distillers came up with idea for the design. Duston, who has a fascination with American antique autos and gas stations, came across an old oil can from the 1930s that was round and was designed to make it easy to pour the oil into the engine with had a counterweight to right itself after being poured. He took that design and had a bottle created by a glass packaging company. Rocker’s bottle has already won several packaging and branding awards.
While the bottle captures people attention that attention, to keep their interest Rocker Spirits also pays attention to what goes inside their bottles.
Rocker Vodka is a 100% corn vodka that is odorless and tasteless, but has a light, oily mouthfeel that make this spirit perfect for cocktails. This clean spirit will brighten any Moscow Mule, Martini, or Bloody Mary or use with your favorite fruit or botanical cocktail. Its filtered purity will bring out the flavor of any cocktail.
Rocker Rum is made with molasses and aged for six years in used whiskey barrels so it has notes of sweet vanilla and subtle oaky pepper that make it so smooth you can sip it or mix it. Keep things simple with a rum and cola or put it in your fruitiest tiki cocktails for a festive cocktail.
Rocker Whiskey is close to bourbon in style with a 70% corn and 30% wheat mash. It is aged for a minimum of three years in 53-gallon virgin American oak barrels and bottled at 96 proof. The taste is warm and slightly sweet with an oak finish. Guests at the distillery’s tasting room can enjoy Rocker Whiskey neat for its full flavor or with a cube for smoother, longer sipping.
At the tasting room and distillery just off Main Street in downtown Littleton, guests can also enjoy a variety of classic and contemporary cocktails. Try the Fred’s Got Slacks with both rum and whiskey, Thai tea, and demerara mole and sarsaparilla bitters. You can warm things up with Wide Eyes, a hot drink of whiskey, cold press coffee, brown sugar chipotle, molasses and a lavender cream float. You can’t go wrong with any spirit and splash of soda or cola either.
