Where to Drink Near Coors Field on Rockies Opening Day

First pitch at 2:10 PM

Spring is finally official when baseball season arrives. The Colorado Rockies Home Opener is Friday, April 7. The Rockies will take on the LA Dodgers with a 2:10 PM first pitch. Denver’s bars and restaurants, especially those surrounding the field, will have a variety of opening day parties and drink specials to celebrate. Even if you don’t have a ticket to the game you can still get in on the action. Prepare to leave work early, heck just take the day off, and get a head start on summer as we celebrate the return of Major League Baseball to Denver.

10 Barrel Brewing Pub
Enjoy live music by DJ Johnny Nova on the rooftop along with raffles and other giveaways and limited edition Colorado Rockies themed shirts available for sale. Party starts at 10 AM.  (2620 Walnut St.; 720-573-8992)

Avanti Food and Beverage
Walking distance from the stadium Avanti in the Highlands is opening early, 9:30 AM, with lots of drink specials including $4 select Odell beer, and $5 select Dogfish Head beer, well cocktails and house wines. (3200 Pecos St.; 720-269-4778)

Blake Street Tavern
Blake Street is having a musical party for opening day. Enjoy the Coors Light Beer Garden by KYGO with national performers Carly Pearce and local group Tyler Walker Band. The bar opens at 7 AM and will serve breakfast all day along with other drink specials. If you don’t have a ticket to the game, watch it on the 30x18 outdoor TV screen. Giggling Grizzly
The Griz will celebrate opening day with free pool, $3 drink deals and baseball on all the TVs. (1320 20th St.; 303-297-8300)

Hayter’s & Co.
Join Opening Day Party at Hayter’s & Co. on Blake Street. Game day means all-you-can-drink Coors Lights for $12 and early happy hour at 2 PM. All-you-can-drink begins two hours prior to most home games. The rooftop bar, Tap Fourteen, will also be open with drink specials. (1920 Blake St.; 303-297-8279)

Hopdoddy
Hopdoddy has teamed up with Ratio Beerworks for an opening day party. Enjoy tasty Ratio beers on the patio and games of corn hole. (1747 Wynkoop St.; 303-446-2337)

Howl at the Moon
Howl is joining forces with 99.5 The Mountain and Comedy 103.1 beginning at 11 AM. Enjoy $3 Coors Lights, $5 Jameson shots and $20 drink buckets. Live music starts at 1 PM and no cover during the day. Starting at 8 PM, show a ticket stub from the game, a purple foam finger or mention Comedy 103.1 upon entry and get in for free.  (1735 19th St.; 303-291-0880)

Jackson’s

Jax Fish House LoDo
Get your raw bar on Opening Day at Jax. The bar opens early, at noon, on April 7. Enjoy $1.50 oysters and $3 brews from Post Brewing. Also get Happy Hour pricing from noon until 6 PM. (1539 17th St.; 303-292-5767)

LoDo’s
Whether attending the game or just playing hooky from work, hang out at LoDo’s on the rooftop deck overlooking the stadium. The bar is also having a street party by taking over the side of the building for the Bud Light Experience featuring corn hole games and Bud Light bars. Bar opens at 11 AM. Rock Bottom Restaurant & Brewery
Celebrate at the Rock with opening day meal specials. Get a burger and a beer or get two hot dogs and a beer for only $10. (1001 16th St.; 303-534-7616)

Sports Column
Across the street from Coors Field enjoy $3 Coors Banquet and Coors Light drafts and $10 domestic pitchers. Happy hour pricing until game time and after the game from 3:30 to 6:30 PM. (1930 Blake St.; 303-296-1930)

ViewHouse Ballpark
This location across the street from the ballpark will host an Opening Day Party all day April 7. Don’t have tickets to the game? No problem because ViewHouse is giving some away. The bar opens at 8 AM and there will be a courtyard DJ all day. Up top enjoy views of the stadium, a 198-inch outdoor LED TV showing the game and dozens of other TVs to view the action. Wynkoop Brewing Company
This year Wynkoop will host the first annual Game Day Breakfast starting 8 AM at the brewery. Join Rockies Radio Announce Jerry Schmmel, Byran Kilpatrick and Drew Creasman from BSN Denver, Ryan Spilborghs of Root and Nick Groke of the Denver Post as they break down the 2017 Colorado Rockies.
