Where to Drink Pink for Charity This October
October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, so you may have seen a lot of pink around town. Now the pink is in your drink. Bars and restaurants are offering pink drinks with the proceeds going toward charities that help those fighting the disease and those searching for a cure. Here is where you can Drink Pink while helping a good cause. All drinks are available until October 31.
Blue Island Oyster Bar
This new bar in Cherry Creek North is already diving into Pink-tober with the Blue Island Pink Drink, a boozy concoction of Monopolowa Vodka, St. Germaine, house-made basil syrup, and cranberry for a tasty bar sipper. For every cocktail sold, $1 will go to the Susan G. Komen Foundation for breast cancer research.
Hard Rock Café
The bar at the Hard Rock in Denver Pavilions has been celebrating PINKTOBER for many years and this year’s offering is the non-alcoholic Wildberry Smoothie. The drink is a frozen blend of fresh bananas, pina colada mix, orange juice, and Monin Wildberry syrup. The Hard Rock says the drink, “carries the color of hope and raises funds for the cause.” Proceeds from the drink will go to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation and The Caron Keating Foundation. Kachina Southwestern Grill
The Prickly Pixie features Cazadores Tequila Reposado, prickly pear puree, triple sec, and lime. The mélange is $8, and $1 of every drink will go to Sense of Security, a non-profit that helps Coloradans in active treatment for breast cancer pay monthly bills and other financial support.
Max’s Wine Dive
Max’s is keeping it simple for drinking pink. Order any glass of refreshingly pink Rosé and Max’s will donate $1 to the Cancer League of Colorado. With several to choose from, you can’t go wrong.
Second Home Kitchen + Bar
The Creek Cure features Grey Goose Cherry Vodka, lime juice, simple syrup, cranberry juice, and a splash of brandy-infused cherry juice. This cocktail is $9, and $1 per drink will also be donated to Sense of Security.
The Corner Office
The Other Woman features Tito’s Handmade Vodka, Lillet Rose, strawberry, and lemon for only $10 with $1 going to Sense of Security, a non-profit that helps Coloradoans in active treatment for breast cancer pay monthly bills and other financial support. (1401 Curtis St.; 303-825-6500)
ViewHouse
Both locations of the ViewHouse, LoDo and DTC, will offer up the delicious Strawberry Stiletto Martini for Pink-tober. The drink is full of juicy strawberries and oranges muddles with Ketel One Vodka, triple sec, simple syrup, and a touch of cranberry juice. For every drink sold this month, $1 will go to The Cancer League of Colorado to support breast cancer research.
