One of the most distinctive is the New Kids on the Block Beer Festival—a gathering designed to showcase the newest breweries on the Denver and Colorado beer scene to the thirsty masses. Now in its third year, this year’s edition features some good breweries and some stellar brews—many of which may not have made their way through many craft-beer circles.

To pour at the festival, a brewery must be less than two years old. While some of these breweries won’t last longer than a 1990s boy band, others will are likely to have staying power like Donnie Wahlberg, or his brother for that matter. It’s a great way to try some of the newest beers without having to schlep down to the taproom or brewery.

This year’s festival adds a three-course dinner for VIP ticket holders. The general public can join in afterward for the sampling session. Here’s the list of participating beer makers:

With a list like that, there’s no reason to hole yourself up watching reruns of Blue Bloods, or the Saw movies.

The third annual New Kids on the Block Beer Festival takes place from 7:30 PM–10:30 PM, March 26 at The Lobby, which is located at 2191 Arapahoe St. The VIP dinner begins at 6 PM. Get tickets before March begins and you’ll save $5. In March, tickets will be $45 for VIPs and $30 for general admission.
