Locally Grown Ingredients
Mixologists are taking a cue from their chef brethren and using locally grown ingredients in their cocktails. Some are even growing their own ingredients, including herbs like mint, thyme and sage. This is a trend that crosses into all kinds of drink making, like using locally grown hops for beer or local potatoes for distilling vodka. Look for Colorado peach and melon cocktails later this summer.
