Where to Celebrate Mother's Day in Denver
Moms do so much for us. Show your mom how much you love and appreciate her on Mother’s Day this Sunday, May 8. Pamper mom by taking her out for a special meal and beverage at any one of these fine establishments. After putting up with us for all these years, she could probably use a drink.
Central Bistro
Treat mom to a tasty brunch in the Highlands at Central featuring $12 bottomless Mimosas. If she prefers something stronger than a Mimosa, the bar has over 200 styles of whiskey. Mother’s Day Brunch is from 9 AM to 3 PM and reservations are recommended. (1691 Central St.; 303-477-4582)
Del Frisco’s Grille
In Cherry Creek North, take mom for an upscale brunch at Del Frisco’s. Moms will be able to order an off-menu Prime Rib special and get a complimentary $15 gift card for a return visit. Mom can also build her own Bloody Mary or sip a Grille White Sangria garnished with a popsicle. Hard Rock Café
Moms will get the rock star treatment at the Hard Rock. From 10 AM to 2 PM is a special Mother’s Day breakfast quiche menu for $12.95. Add on bottomless Mimosas for $8.50. All moms receive a 25% discount in the Rock Shop and, if you forget mom’s flowers, the café will give all moms who come in for breakfast a carnation. Reservations recommended. Henry’s Tavern

Hopdoddy
If you mom is a kid at heart, take her to Hopdoddy for a “breakfast not quite in bed” liquid special. Enjoy Demi’s Cinnamon Roll, a milkshake made with homemade dough and cinnamon butter blended into a shake with cream cheese icing and garnished with a mini-cinnamon roll. Up north, Kachina is offering a family-style brunch featuring their Pioneer Skillet, Blue Corn Waffles and Chicken Fried Chicken. Brunch is $32 per person for guests 9 and up, but kids 8 and under are free. Top the meal off with a bottomless Mimosa for $10 extra or a build-your-own-Bullseye Bloody Mary Bar for $14. The Kachina Cisco Kids Room will also be open that day, where kids are welcome to play, make Mother’s Day cards and color, giving mom a break while she enjoys her brunch. Reservations recommended. Lola
Bring mom in to Lola in the Higlands for brunch on Mother’s Day and she’ll receive a free Mimosa, or bring her in for dinner and shell receive a complimentary plate of family style paella. (1575 Boulder St.; 720-570-8686)
Punch Bowl Social
At PBS, mom’s brunch is free — that is, if she bowls a strike on her first try. Even if mom’s bowling skills aren’t all that, she will still receive a complimentary Mimosa upon arrival. Brunch is from 9 AM to 3 PM and will feature all sorts of breakfast treats, including an omelette bar, monkey bread French toast and cheese boards. Tavern
The Tavern locations in Lowry, Littleton, Platte Park and the Tech Center will offer a special all-you-can-eat Mother’s Day brunch on May 9 from 10 AM to 2 PM. Brunch is $34 for adults and $14 for children 12 and under. Bottomless Bloody Marys and Mimosas will be available for an additional charge, and all moms receive a complimentary rose. ViewHouse Centennial
Take mom to a classy brunch in the Denver Tech Center and enjoy the beautiful views at the ViewHouse. Their Mother's Day Brunch Buffet is $36.95 for adults and $9.94 for children ages 6-12, and children five and under are free. Brunch is all-you-can-eat and features a seafood tower, meat carving stations, build-your-own omelettes, and waffles.
