#TousAuBistrot, Parisians Show Strength by Going out to Bars En Masse

After the devastating attacks nearly a week ago in Paris, everyday life in the City of Lights has come to a halt somewhat -- but, in the face of such turmoil, some Parisians decided to show that they can’t be intimidated by heading to the bar and celebrating life.
On Tuesday, Parisians tweeted out the hashtag #TousAuBistrot (literally meaning “Everyone to the bar!”), with some following up with an alternative, #JeSuisEnTerrace (“I am on the terrace”), intending to show the world that they are unafraid to continue living their lives and enjoying the many bars their city has to offer.
Patrons and industry alike held a moment of silence at 9 PM to commemorate the dead, and then continued to drink as an act of defiance.
