Where to Drink for the Rockies' 2015 Opening Day in Denver
Call the office, tell them you’re sick and get downtown for what many consider a national holiday. Our Colorado Rockies home opener is Friday, April 10, at 2:10 PM against the Chicago Cubs. There will be plenty of drink and food specials to go around, and many of our favorite places are opening early just for the occasion. Here's where to hang out for Opening Day 2015.
Blake Street Tavern
Just a stone’s throw from the field, Blake Street Tavern is opening at 9 AM on Opening Day, one of the earliest openings we have found. Blake Street will open the westside patio along with a northside beer garden for the day. (2301 Blake St.; 303-675-0505)
Cherry Cricket
For the home opener, enjoy the Double Play all day featuring a Coors Light and a shot of locally made Tin Cup whiskey for $8. (2641 E 2nd Ave.; 303-322-7666)
