Where to Get a Drink During the National Western Stock Show in Denver
The 108th annual National Western Stock Show is in full swing over at the huge stock show complex located near the junction of I-25 and I-70. But where does a modern cowboy or cowgirl find some hooch? DrinkDenver is here to help so get on yer boots and give a little yee-haw!
For those attending the stock show, find adult beverages at these locations throughout the National Western Complex:
Bar & Grill: Full restaurant and bar located on the north side of the Expo Hall.
Cattlemen’s Grill: Cafeteria located in the Hall of Education 2nd Floor, West End.
Cowboy Bar: Serving up beer and spirits, this bar is located in the cattle barn, Hall of Education, 1st Floor. Drink specials from 10 AM to 4 PM daily.
Tack Room Bar: Also serving beer and spirits, this bar is located in the horse stall area in the Events Center, Aisle 7.
Pro Rodeo Events: Different professional rodeo events will be held nightly in the Denver Coliseum. Competition includes roughstock events like bareback riding, saddle bronc riding and bull riding and timed events such as tie-down roping, steer wrestling and women’s barrel racing. With Coors an official sponsor of the event, you can expect a lot of banquet beer. Tickets can be purchased online (4655 Humboldt St.; 303-295-1660).

Denver Stockyard Saloon (4710 National Western Drive; 303-298-0525)
The Saloon will offer live music every night of the stock show. They are also offering $3 beers on Sunday during the Bronco’s game, whistle special of $2 beers at the bar, nightly prizes and the parking is free after 8 PM.
Grizzly Rose (5450 N. Valley Hwy.; 303-295-1330)
The official nightclub of the stock show, this historic honkytonk will feature a great country artist every night of the stock show. Special nights include Ladies Night with Weston Burt Thursday, January 16, and Neal McCoy on Friday, January 24. Kachina Southwestern Grill (10600 Westminster Blvd.; 303-410-5813)
Kachina in Westminster welcomes Stock Show guests with a Bison and Beer Dinner on Saturday, January 25. The dinner will feature Prairie Ridge Buffalo Ranch of Limon and beers from New Belgium Brewing in Ft. Collins. The evening starts with cocktails with the ranchers and brewers at 6:30 PM followed by a 4-course bison dinner paired with New Belgium beers. Cost is $45 per seat and must be reserved in advance. Toby Keith’s I Love This Bar (8260 Northfield Blvd., Ste. 1370; 303-728-9468)
Over in Stapleton, Keith’s country bar will have live music each night of the stock show. This week is Nathan Dean and the Damn Band and next week features Honkytonk Voodoo. Happy hour is Monday through Friday from 2 to 7 PM.
