Denver City Parks: The City and County of Denver is home to over 200 city parks, 100 miles of trails and 11 dog parks equal to over 5,000 acres of land for use by its residents. People are also allowed to drink alcohol in city parks provided they abide by the rules: 1) No glass containers; 2) only 3.2% ABV beverages allowed; 3) Always use trash receptacles or carry your trash out. So whether enjoying a jazz band at City Park, playing volleyball at Wash Park, or sun bathing at Sloan’s Lake, don’t forget to pack a cooler and please drink responsibly.
