Thanks Dad!
Where to Take Your Dad for a Drink This Father's Day

Sunday, June 21, is Father’s Day, and we all know that Dad deserves a drink or two for putting up with us. Show Dad you love him by taking him out to a nice meal. Here are some places where dads can get an extra special liquid treat for Father’s Day. Happy Father’s Day, Denver!

Argyll Whisky Beer
Meat is where it’s at for Argyll, and on Dad’s Day enjoy Chermula rubbed lamb sirloin with Yorkshire pudding and green peppercorn jus for just $21 all day. Pints of Trumer Pilsner and Don Draper-esque Old Fashioned cocktails are only $5 all day. (1035 E 17th Ave.; 303-847-0850)

Blackbelly Market
Up in Boulder, take the old man to Blackbelly for some meat-licious meals like Colorado lamb roast or coulotte steak. All dads will receive a complimentary Old Fashioned cocktail. (1606 Conestoga #3, Boulder; 303-247-1000)

Colorado Rockies
The Rockies play the Milwaukee Brewers appropriately on Father’s Day. The stadium will also be giving out FREE Rockies ballcaps to the first 10,000 fans. Take Dad to the game early for a beer tasting and pre-game meal at The Sandlot and Blue Moon Brewery or head up to the rooftop for a beer from one of the 80 taps at the Tavern Ballpark. (Coors Field, 2001 Blake St.; 800-388-ROCK)

Cook Street
Is Dad the man in the kitchen? Then treat him to a special cooking class at Cook Street Culinary School. On Friday, June 19, he can take the Bites n’ Brews class where he will learn the basics of cooking with beer and enjoy a beer sampling for $99. If dad wants to be master of the grill, sign him up for the Methods of Cooking: Grilling class on Sunday, June 21, for $89. Dad will not only learn how to master an open flame, but there will also be a selection of craft beers from local breweries available for tasting. Students get to enjoy the food they cook in both classes along with the beer. Sign Dad up online or call the school to reserve a spot in the class. (1937 Market St.; 303-308-9300)

Jill’s Restaurant at St. Julien Hotel
Also in Boulder, Jill’s Restaurant is serving up something special for Father’s Day. Treat Dad to the Flatirons BBQ & Beer Brunch from 10 AM to 2 PM where dads can munch on a breakfast buffet featuring whiskey-infused syrup, house-smoked salmon, beer can chicken and skirt steak. Get a sugar fix at the donut station featuring Jack Daniel’s pecan cupcakes. Brunch is $51.95 for adults and includes bottomless pints, unlimited sparkling wine, bloody marys and mimosas. Reservations are recommended. (900 Walnut St., Boulder; 720-406-7399)

Highland Tap & Burger
In the Highlands, the HTB is offering all dads a FREE draft flight of their tastiest beers. Brunch on Father’s Day runs from 10 AM to 2 PM and features made from scratch breakfast dishes and the kitchen’s famous burgers. Dad not a beer drinker? He can enjoy bottomless Mimosas for $12 or a Build-your-own Bloody Bar for $8. Reservations are suggested. (2219 W 32nd Ave.; 720-287-4493)

Humboldt Farm, Fish & Wine
Humboldt is the place to be after President and new grandpa, Bill Clinton, dined here with his daughter Chelsea and Bono a few weeks ago. Take Dad to Humboldt on Father’s Day for brunch for only $15. Humboldt’s fabulous oysters will be Buck-a-Shuck all day too. Beermosas featuring Ska True Blonde are only $6 while Bloody Marys are $8. (1700 Humboldt St.: 303-813-1700)

Tickets are $22 to $30 and if you use the promo code Dad2015 when purchasing online, dad will get one FREE drink ticket. (10075 Commons St., Lone Tree; 720-509-1000)

Does Dad enjoy the finer things? Say artwork and a glass a wine? Spend the day at the Denver Art Museum, and afterward take him to Palettes for brunch. All dads will receive a complimentary glass of wine or beer with an entrée purchase. Brunch is available from 11 AM to 3 PM on Father’s Day. Reservations are recommended. (100 W 14th Ave. Parkway; 303-534-1455)
