Good news for Denver drinkers who love the “offensively delicious” brews from Renegade. The Southwest neighborhood brewery has just announced plans for Renegade Publik House, a South Denver pub and restaurant coming to 2043 South University Boulvard, right by the University of Denver.

A total of 20 taps are planned for the new bar, of which just between five and eight will be house brews. The others will be filled by a rotating selection of guest beers from craft breweries all over the region and country. A wide selection of bottled and canned brews (including Renegade’s own) will round out the large selection of suds.

Pizza will anchor the food side of the menu, but pies will be grilled instead of baked. Salads and other bites will join the pizza on the menu, providing sustenance to patrons of the approximately 2000-square-foot space.

Interior design and decor will be from Esinem Designs, the firm responsible for the gorgeous exotic wood tap handles and the rest of the surroundings at the original Renegade. Elements will be constructed that “pay tribute to the role of academia in the neighborhood,” according to release from the brewery. A March 2013 opening is planned.
