Sushi Den and Izakaya Den Hold On to Summer With Watermelon Cocktails
It may be October, but the weather’s been pretty warm (albeit in and on-and-off-fashion), and Platt Park’s Sushi Den and sister sake house Izakaya Den around the corner are holding on to summer. Throughout the month of October, you can stop in for some tapas or maki and pair the eats with a watermelon martini or mojito.
In fact, summer never ends at the restaurants’ 3,000-square-foot greenhouse, situated on the company’s Brighton farm, which provides local produce to both kitchens all year long. Using only passive solar energy, the temperature inside never drops below 51 degrees.
The fresh fruit cocktails provide a nice alternative sip during this beer-mad time (and they're only $10 each), so when you need a break from the amazing amounts of brew surrounding Denver right now, you know where to head.
