Amy Poehler Has Opened a Wine Store in Brooklyn

by The Drink Nation on Dec 11, 2018 in Culture

Amy Poehler has a new role — she has opened a wine store, Zula Wines & Spirits, in Brooklyn's Park Slope, according to Eater.

Alongside friends and wine experts Amy Miles and Mike Robertson (whom Poehler met on the set of her 2001 film, Wet Hot American Summer), Poehler is bringing affordable, quality wine to this Brooklyn neighborhood. The shop offers delivery, tastings, and a large section of "under $13" bottles of carefully chosen varietals from all over the world, including countries like France, Austria, South America, Chile, Australia, New Zealand, and the U.S, as well as American craft spirits.

Though the Parks & Recreation star remains modest, saying that she simply gets all of her wine advice directly from Miles and Robertson, she may know more than she's letting on, as she just completed filming on her directorial debut, a Netflix original comedy aptly called Wine Country.

If you find yourself in Brooklyn, stop by Zula, get a recommendation for a bottle, and try a tasting — and you might just spot Poehler while you're there.
