What's New for You at GABF 2018
The 37th annual Great American Beer Festival is upon us! From Thursday, September 21, though, Saturday, September 22, at the Colorado Convention Center, Denver will enjoy all things beer. And because we’ve been doing it for so long we know how to enjoy GABF. First, make a pretzel necklace, drink plenty of water, and use the GABF app to find our favorite breweries and beers. However, GABF is always keeping it fresh with some new and interesting things to do. Sure our all favorite events are still there (looking at you Silent Disco!), but here are some new things you will find at this year’s festival.
Festival Floor Food Trucks
This year at the festival, five local food trucks will be parked inside the convention hall serving up a variety of festival foods. Trucks include Dude Bro Taco, Meatball, Mile High Cajun, Smokestack 70, and Teal Taco. Sounds delicious to us!
Paired Craft Beer and Food
Can’t get enough food at GABF? Paired brings together acclaimed chefs and craft breweries from around the country for a unique food and beer pairing that will delight your senses. Over 50 unique beers will be pouring at this event alone all paired with tasty bites created just for the festival. Tickets are separate from the festival and there are only a few left for Thursday night if you want to get in on the tasting.
Jameson Caskmates Barrel-Aged Beer Garden
For the first time in festival history, spirits are part of the event with Jameson joining in the fun through its Caskmates program. Collaborating with American breweries, Jameson will serve special beers that have been aged in Jameson whiskey barrels. Brewery partners include 8th Wonder, Bale Breaker, Big Dog’s, Black Abbey, Captain Lawrence, Cigar City, DC Brau, Fat Heads, Foolproof, Fulton, Great Divide, Green Flash, Harpoon, Heavy Seas, Parish, Revolution and River Horse. The beer garden is 12,600 square feet of beer drinking goodness.
Buffalo Wild Wings Great American Sports Bar
B-dub’s will host a 3,600-square foot sports bar and fan experience serving a variety of craft beers alongside bar games and TVs showing the most popular weekend sporting events. Since most Buffalo Wild Wing restaurants have 30 or more beer taps, it just makes sense to serve award-winning beer at GABF.
