Singer Jon Bon Jovi is Getting Into the Rose Business
In the latest series of bizarre rosé news, singer Jon Bon Jovi has decided to dive into the “Bed of Rosés” by creating his own brand of wine.
Inspired by his 23 year old son Jesse and their summers spent in the Hamptons, “Diving Into Hampton Water” was conceived. And before we even had time to crack a Hamptons punch joke, apparently Bon Jovi used to call rosé “pink water” himself, then his son adjusted the joke to Hampton water.
Since the “Wanted, Dead or Alive” singer doesn’t have experience making his own wine, he enlisted the help of famous French winemaker and friend Gérard Bertrand. The wine itself is made in the south of France with a crisp blend of Grenache, Cinsault and Mourvèdre grapes.
“I want to create a link between the emotions that spark off a great song and good wine. They elevate each other,” said Bertrand in a press release. Well, we’d have to say that connection is a success, because every time we drink rosé from now on we will be singing the lyrics to “Livin’ on a Prayer” in our heads.
If you’re looking to get your hands on a $25 bottle of Hampton Water, it may be a bit difficult. A spokesperson told Town and Country Mag that it is currently sold out but more cases are being shipped from France. Luckily, Hampton Water has a map tool on their website so you can “Runaway” to the nearest store it’s sold.
