Celebrate St. Patrick's Day 2018 at a Denver Irish Bar

St. Patrick’s Day, the day when the whole world turns Irish, is Saturday, March 17. To celebrate in true Irish style we have cobbled together a selection of Irish bars so you can sip a Guinness or Harp, Jameson or Tullamore, and eat hearty Irish dishes all day long. Throw in some bag pipes and Celtic dancers and you have a party.

The Celtic on Market
Located on the parade route, Celtic on Market is not only an Irish bar, but an Off Track Betting facility, if you’re feeling the Luck ‘o the Irish. On Friday, March 16, the bar will also host the Avalanche Irish Heritage Night after the game against the Nashville Predators. After the game at Pepsi Center, head over to the Celtic for Guinness, Budweiser and Tullamore specials along with dancers and pipers. (1400 Market St.; 303-484-1066)

Casey’s Bistro & Pub
Over in Stapleton, the fun begins on Friday, March 16, with food and drink specials all day. Enjoy bagpipes and dancers beginning at 3:30 PM. Same on Saturday except the music and dancing start at 2 PM. There is also Karaoke at 9 PM Saturday.  (7301 E. 29th Ave.; 720-974-7350)

Darcy’s Bistro & Pub
Down in the DTC, the fun begins on Friday, March 16, with Irish food and drink specials all day. Then live music and Irish dancing is from 4-7 PM. Same on Saturday except the music and dancing are from 7-10 PM. (4955 S. Ulster St., Ste. 103; 303-770-0477)

The Fainting Goat
St. Patrick’s Day at The Goat begins on Thursday, March 15, with Irish Drop Shots for only $5 from 7-9 PM. Enjoy other drink specials, giveaways and samplings. That evening enjoy the 21st annual Billy Donohue’s 2018 St. Patrick’s Day Extravaganza to support the Avielle Foundation. The extravaganza begins at 3:30 PM. If you donate $30 at the door, you get two drink tickets and one buffet ticket plus all the Irish entertainment you can handle. You can also donate in advance on CrowdRise. Give your name at the door to receive tickets. (846 Broadway; 303-945-2323)

The Irish Snug
Denver’s own Under a Blood Red Sky is performing at the Snug on St. Patrick’s Day. Enjoy this U2 cover band beginning at 8 PM. Enjoy Irish food and drink specials all day long. (1201 E. Colfax Ave.; 303-839-1394)

Scruffy Murphy’s
Located two blocks from the parade route, the bar will open at 7 AM on St. Patrick’s Day. Groove to two stages of live music, a heated beer tent and lots of food and drink. Then at 9 PM join the fun with the Ninety Percent 90s band. (2030 Larimer St.; 303-291-6992)
