Move over, mimosas: gin and tonics are the new morning drink. At least, gin and tonics that you can spread on your morning toast, as the online retailer Firebox has produced a G&T Marmalade. The organic lemon marmalade is infused with three-percent gin, but Firebox assures that the alcohol is cooked off, while the tonic flavor comes from a combination of quinine extract, citric acid, and sugar. Its suggested uses include spreading it on a cucumber sandwich, using it as a cocktail ingredient, and just eating it out of the jar with a spoon.

 

For those who look for a breakfast drink with a bit more caffeine kick in spreadable form, there’s also spreadable coffee: espresso marmalade. Unfortunately for Americans, neither of them are available yet in The States; we’ll have to ask any UK-living friends or family to send it to us. No word yet whether or not the gin spa in Scotland will be carrying it for a spread.
