The Fifth Annual Collaboration Fest Hits Denver

Once again Denver, CO, will get to sip and sample some of the country’s most unique beers as the fifth annual Collaboration Fest hits town on Saturday, March 31, at the Hyatt Regency. Brewers and breweries from all over the country have teamed up with members of Colorado Brewers Guild to craft collaborative beers that guests won’t be able to sip anywhere else. This is not a competition, but a bond made with beer.

Over 100 unique beers will be brewed by groups of the best brains on the planet to see what imaginative concoctions they can create. It’s more than just beer; it’s about the camaraderie that comes from brewing with friends.

Here is a just a tiny sample of the collaborations:

Cannonball Creek (CO) and Melvin Brewing (WA)

Grist Brewing (CO) and Koala San Brew (Brazil)

Oskar Blues (CO) and Cigar City (FL)

Other interesting combos include the all Golden breweries beer, featuring Holidaily, Mountain Toad, Golden City, Barrels & Bottles, Cannonball Creek, New Terrain. Other Colorado beer communities will create collaboration beers as well.

There are way too many collaborations to list here. You’ll just have to check the website for all of them.

Another new beer the GBG is putting together is The People’s Beer. It’s a beer that will be brewed with help from the public. To get involved, just get on the website and vote for your favorite options with new options, from ingredients to what the beer will be called, posted weekly on the Collaboration Fest website.

Tickets are $65 per person for General Admission and $85 for hour early access. The sipping begins at 4 PM at the Hyatt Regency Denver at the Colorado Convention Center. Tickets can be purchased online.
