Drake's Dad Makes Fun of Him in New Ad for Virginia Black Whiskey
Dennis Graham, an R&B singer, very suave gentleman, and Drake’s dad, stars in a new ad with his son to promote his new brand of whiskey, Virginia Black.
The ad starts off with a very confident looking Drake sipping a tumbler of his whiskey and making eyes at a very beautiful woman at a bar. All the while, his song “Passionfuit” plays in the background, because of course. He begins to approach her as she seemingly comes toward him, but out of nowhere, Drake’s dad comes in, a pulls a Mr. Steal Your Girl and asks Drake to hold his drink as he proceeds off into the night with the sparkly dressed woman— while the song switches to his, “Kinda Crazy.". Oh, and he also manages to fit a jab at his son’s turtleneck in there. This may be the best whiskey commercial of all time.
The ad ends with Graham sitting by a fireplace and saying the whiskey’s catchphrase: “Virginia Black: One sip, and wooh!” In a previous series of ads Drake dubs his father the “Realest Dude Ever” a stark contrast to the “Most Interesting Man in the World.” We’d have to say we agree — stay real Dennis, stay real.
