Celebrate National Yeti Day at Great Divide Brewing
National Yeti Awareness Week is an annual event held by Great Divide Brewing Company to celebrate all things Yeti, as in Yeti beer. This year awareness week is November 13-19 and all sorts of shenanigans will happen all week long. However, Friday, November 17, is the second annual National Yeti Day and the Great Divide Barrel Bar is hosting a free event for the public beginning at 2 PM.
Yeti Imperial Stout is one of Great Divide’s flagship beers and one of the most popular. Yeti is a big roasty malty beer that has won numerous awards. The beer is so popular, the brewery makes a variety of Yetis with a variety of unique Yeti flavors. They are the Chocolate Oak Aged Yeti, Espresso Oak Aged Yeti, Oatmeal Yeti, Chai Yeti and a Barrel Aged Yeti.
Guests to the Barrel Bar will enjoy over 10 varieties of Yeti on tap, including a hot and cold Yeti station for Yeti hot chocolate and Yeti floats made with ice cream. There will also be specialty firkins ready for tasting. Along with the party will be giveaways starting at 2 PM. Prizes range from a bar tab at the bar to Merchandise from Meier Skis. There will be a food truck for meals and Great Divide will also provide Yeti ice cream from Sweet Action Ice Cream and Yeti brownies. Watch out for Yeti sightings.
This even happens at the Great Divide Barrel Bar on 1812 35th St. in RiNo from 2 to 10 PM. Entry is free and the food and fun are pay as you go.
