Buy Dad a Drink this Father's Day in Denver

Happy Dad's Day!

This year Father’s Day is on Sunday, June 18, and there are a variety of ways you can say ‘thank you’ to your dad. Sure gifts are nice, but what dad really wants is a drink. Here are some fine establishments where dad can imbibe and relax, and you can pick up the tab.  Enjoy your day, Dad! You deserve it.

Olive & Finch
Brunch isn’t just for moms. Take dad out for al fresco brunch on the patio at Olive and Finch because all dads receive a complimentary Bloody Mary or Bloody Maria from 7 to 11 AM. (3390 E. 1st Ave.; 303-832-8663)

Postino
If your pop prefers vino, Postino is the place to be. A fiver ($5) will get dad any glass of wine or any pitcher of beer until 5 PM. (2715 17th St.; 303-433-6363)

Punch Bowl Social
If dad likes to play, take him to PBS to try his luck at bowling or darts. Every dad will get one chance to bowl a strike or hit a bulls-eye to win a prize. Dad can also enjoy $2 Old Man Cans and $5 Old Fashioned all day. (65 Broadway; 303-765-2695)

Vesta
If you’re taking dad to the Rockies game, stop by Vesta where dads will receive a free craft draft. (1822 Blake St.; 303-296-1970)

Stranahan’s Colorado Whiskey
Order a bottle of Stranahan’s Colorado Whiskey or Stranahan’s Diamon Peak for dad and receive a complimentary bottle engraving. Normally $10 additional, customize the bottle with a personal message or dad’s name to make this whiskey uniquely his. Find the offer at Reserve Bar.com. (200 S. Kalamath St.; 303-296-7440)

Thirsty Lion
Both locations of Thirsty Lion will be offering half-off beer flights for dad on Sunday. That’s only $5! However, dad will have over 50 beers and ciders to choose from so finding only six to try won’t be easy. (Downtown, 1605 Wynkoop St.; 303-623-0316: Cherry Creek, 201 Columbine St.; 303-377-7000)
