Stranahan's to Host Denver's First Barrel Festival
Join Stranahan’s Colorado Whiskey as the staff pull out the rarest of barrels for the first-ever Barrel Festival on Saturday, July 30 at the distillery. These special barrels are hand selected by Master Distiller Rob Dietrich.
Guests will be able to taste six American single malt barrels from distinctly aged casks. Sample whiskeys from the distillery that are considered unique, some barrels that were misplaced, and others just plain forgotten, all pulled from the depths of Stranahan’s rackhouse.
The evening event will also include a pig roast on used Stranahan’s barrel staves, a live bluegrass bland, a tintype photography booth, and a demo from the distillery’s barrel maker, Independent Barrel Stave Company.
The festival will be held at the distillery on 200 S. Kalamath St. in Denver from 7 PM to 10 PM. Did we mention this event is freeto the public? Well, it is! The only stipulation is all attendees must be 21 or over.
