Sam Adams to Hold "World's Largest Tap Takeover" at Old Chicago Nationwide
Sam Adams beer is taking over 1,400 taps at 94 Old Chicago restaurants nationwide on Saturday, July 9, for the “World’s Largest Tap Takeover” as part of Old Chicago’s 40th Anniversary celebration. The event will be a world's record for the "most taps engaged in a takeover at one time." The event will last as long as the beer lasts.
Beers on tap will include fan favorites like Boston Lager, Summer Ale, Rebel Grapefruit IPA and Porch Rocker along with the coveted Longshot Homebrew Competition winning beers and specialty beers from the brewery. These include Double Bock, Rebel Rouser Double IPA and Grumpy Monk Belgian IPA. Each participating restaurant will have half of the taps serving just Boston Beers.
Founded in Boulder, CO, in 1976, Old Chicago restaurants have grown to over 24 states nationwide and are best known for having 30 beer taps at each location. The chain will celebrate its 40th anniversary on July 7. To learn more visit the Old Chicago website and check locations to find one near you.
