Arapahoe Basin's Festival of the Brewpubs Returns to the Mountain

Party on the Mountain
by Carrie Dow on May 5, 2016 in Event Listing

You can celebrate summer by skiing in the snow at Arapahoe Basin over Memorial Weekend. That also happens to be when the mountain throws its largest party, Festival of the Brewpubs, so join in on Sunday, May 29, starting at noon. That way, you can get in some ski runs in the morning and party in the afternoon.

This is the 15th annual Festival of the Brewpubs and A-Basin is going big for this one. Enjoy live music, hearty mountain BBQ and the best beers Summit County has to offer. Breweries include Pub Ryans, Ska, Lefthand, Elevation, Oskar Blues, Deschutes, Upslope, Colorado Native, Breckenridge Brewery, Dillon Dam Brewery, Odell Brewing, Avery, and Great Divide. Enjoy live old school funk, soul and R&B music by Jakarta.

Cost is $30 per person and includes unlimited sampling and a commemorative mug. Food is purchased using a ticket system. One ticket is $1, and on average, food costs 8-10 tickets. New this year is a special VIP tasting with small-batch brews from Bakers Brewery, Broken Compass, Wynkoop, and Tivoli. The VIP tasting will be held outside on the 6th Alley Bar and Grill’s Perch with a special food menu and beer talk. VIP tickets are $55 per person and includes food and entrance to the regular festival.

Don’t drink and drive — either designate a driver back to Denver or take the Summit Stage Bus to Keystone for FREE. Summit Stage transportation will operate a bus between A-Basin and River Run in Keystone starting at :55 after the hour until 4:55 PM. The last bus to leave A-Basin will depart at 5:10 PM.
