The 4th Annual Denver Beer Festivus Brings Beer and Holly Jolly Together, Dec. 13

Get out the ugly sweaters and mistletoe. The Denver Beer Festivus has returned! This fourth annual beer festival brings the holidays and beer drinking together in one place. The reason this festival is so special is because only beers brewed in the Mile High City can be poured. That’s over 40 breweries this year.

Denver Beer Festivus will be held at Wings Over the Rockies Air & Space Museum in Stapleton on Sunday, December 13, from 2 to 5:30 PM. Enjoy a variety of beers from Denver’s oldest and newest breweries. Some of the breweries include: Alpine Dog, Baere, C Squared Ciders, CAUTION, Chain Reaction, Copper Kettle, De Steeg, Diebolt, Factotum, Former Future, Good River, Great Divide, Hogshead, Jagged Mountain, Oasis, Ratio, River North, Spangalang, Strange Craft, TRVE, Vine Street, and Wit’s End. Check the full list of breweries on the festival website.

New this year will be the Rare Beer Alley on the balcony overlooking the entire event. Rare Beer Alley will feature five breweries pouring limited edition samples of rare and unique beers. These beers will NOT be available on the main festival floor. Each Festivus attendee will receive a ticket with a 10 minute window to sample these amazing beers. Rare Beer Alley will showcase the following beers:

  • Call To Arms Brewing - Beer and Coffee Drink You and Kiss from a Rose
  • Copper Kettle Brewing – Sobremesa, Le Chapeau, Well Bred and Snowed In
  • Epic Brewing – Big Bad Baptist
  • Great Divide – Kriek, Plum Sour Rosabelle and Barrel-aged Yeti
  • Ratio Beerworks – Toasted Coconut Hold Steady

Since the festival happens on a Sunday, the Broncos game will be shown in a TV theater in a section of the festival and scores will be announced via PA system. Food will also be served, but is not included in the general admission ticket price.

Tickets are $40 and can be purchased online. Special "Feats of Strength" tickets will allow guests entry one hour early and lunch for $65 and a portion of tickets sales will benefit New Era Colorado.

Buses to and from the Festivus will be available from four participating breweries: Great Divide’s Barrel Room (1812 35th St.), Hogshead (4460 W 29th Ave.), Station 26 (7045 E 38th Ave.), and TRVE (227 Broadway). Buses will drop guests off at Wings before the event starts and leave after Festivus ends, with plenty of time to get in and out of the event. Bus tickets are $10 and also available on the website.
