The menu also included Oats and Hose Porter (5.7% ABV), The First Waltz Cascadian Dark Ale (7.4%), and Clintonian Pale Ale (4.5%). In keeping with the adventurous nature of the place, brewers were also pouring Fergie and Jesus, a barrel-aged grandiose Oatmeal Porter (9.5%) and Tropical “Oh Yeah” Double IPA, a collaboration to celebrate the fifth anniversary of Hops and Pie, a local pizza and beer hangout. For the sour lover, there was Charlatan Petite Sour Wit, a kettle sour at 4.3% and Gluten Powerful, a gluten-free Belgian wit at 5.2% ABV.
Call to Arms’ tap room is set up like an English pub and is as comfortable and walkable as any drinking establishment across the pond. The room has gobs of light, thanks to the garage doors that open to the Colorado atmosphere. Call to Arms has already experienced enough success to start planning to expand the taproom. Beers are available in taster, 10-oz., and 16-oz. sizes spanning the $3–8 range. A flight will run you $10 for four beers. Growlers in 32-oz. and 64-oz. sizes are available for sale and for refills. The taproom is open Monday–Wednesday, 3–10 PM, Thursday, noon–10 PM, Friday–Saturday, noon–11 PM, and Sunday, 11 AM–9 PM.
