A good beer makes a meal better. Adding bacon to any dish makes it better.
Yes, it’s a festival devoted to beer and bacon and it takes place Nov. 7–8 with the mission of showcasing “innovative bacon dishes” paired with a health sampling of some of the Colorado’s finest brews. (There will be a few from outside the Centennial State as well.)
“Attendees really do seem to enjoy trying a restaurant's offerings for the first time, and getting to chat with the chefs or brewers and learning about the product is a big part of the success,” says event founder Aaron Cohen, who dreamed up the concept as a way to set his beer festival apart from others.
The festival kicks off with a five-course beer dinner featuring five local chefs paired with five different breweries at
The Lobby at
6 PM,
Nov. 7. Participating restaurants and breweries include Second Home Kitchen + Bar, The Lobby, Max's Wine Dive, Great Divide Brewing Company, Wit's End Brewing Company, Call To Arms Brewing Company, Crooked Stave Artisan Beer Project, Spangalang Brewery, and The Post Brewing Co. Pairings will be announced later this month. Tickets for the dinner are $75 each and are available
here.
At 2:30 PM on Nov. 8, the festival moves to The Glitter Dome, where more than 50 restaurants and breweries will bacon and beer you for two and a half hours. Could there be a better way to spend a Sunday afternoon than sampling unlimited bacon dishes and brews? We didn't think so.
Festival tickets are on sale now
here, and prices range from $50 General Admission to $75 VIP.
