Though there aren’t many details just yet, this deal will certainly allow for Golden Road to find its place beyond the West Coast. While their production levels are crazy high (they’re on pace to produce 40,000 barrels in 2015), they’ve only been distributed throughout California, Nevada, and Arizona. With this new wide distribution comes one caveat – now that a major beer player controls its operations, Golden Road likely will stop qualifying as a “craft brew,” but just because it isn’t craft doesn’t make it any less drinkable.

Keep an eye out for their year round beers – which include the Wolf Among Weeds IPA, the Golden Road Hefeweizen, the Get Up Offa That Brown, and the Point the Way IPA – to hopefully hit shelves across the country soon enough.
