BrewDog Announces Plans to Build a Brewery in Ohio
BrewDog was founded eight years ago and has exported beer to over 50 countries. The new brewery will help BrewDog expand its offerings in the US market and allow US customers to enjoy new varieties and fresher brews from BrewDog.
The new brewery will house a 100 barrel brewhouse, a canning line for main production, a bottling line for special edition large format bottles, a restaurant, a visitor center and “a suitably epic tap room”. BrewDog plans on brewing its full lineup of beers including Punk IPA, Dead Pony Club and Jack Hammer, as well as small batch brews unique to Columbus.
“Columbus has got a fantastic beer scene already, so it’s going to be fun to brew our beer in this vibrant Midwestern metro,” stated the brewery in its announcement on its blog. “We considered so many potential locations in the US but eventually it was how much we loved the people of Columbus and how welcome they made us feel on our visits that put Columbus firmly at the top of our list.”
American BrewDog fans will also have the opportunity to invest in BrewDog USA by buying shares in the brewery through the Equity for Punks USA campaign launching later this year. Read more about BrewDog’s Columbus brewery plans or investing in the brewery here.
