What to Do and Where to Drink This Memorial Weekend in Denver
Memorial Day Weekend has always been the official beginning to the summer party season with lots of things to do and all kinds of events taking place this year. Why not join the fun? Don’t forget to say “thank you for your service” to our men and women in the military. Because of their work and sacrifice, we can enjoy a drink this three-day weekend.
The Big Wonderful
Beginning May 2, the huge outdoor market and neighborhood party called The Big Wonderful will begin its summer run every Saturday starting at noon. Located at 26th and Lawrence St., this outdoor sustainable market will be a mix of food truck paradise, flea market, craft fair and garden party. Enjoy the outdoor craft beer and cocktail garden built out of storage containers. There will also be a beach volleyball court and an entertainment stage. You'll find fun for the whole family until 7:30 PM. (2500 Lawrence St., River North)
Brews & Views Beer Festival
Enjoy the flowers at Hudson Gardens on Sunday, May 24, at the Brews & Views Beer Festival. The garden will be in full bloom during Memorial Day Weekend, and guests can stroll the gardens while tasting beers from 25 local breweries. Ride your bike on the Carter Greenway Trail and make an afternoon of it with food trucks, music and Mother Nature. The festival runs from 1 to 4 PM and tickets are $25 for beer tasters and only $5 for designated drivers. (Hudson Gardens, 6115 Santa Fe Dr., Littleton)
Denver Comic Con

Coors Field is the only stadium in the country with a brewery, The Sandlot, home of Blue Moon, on site, and The Rooftop overlooking right field features some of Denver’s best cocktails and Denver’s longest bar with beer taps that run 52 feet, 80 inches long. Batting practice specials on drinks are available for those who arrive early. Tickets start at $15. (Coors Field, Downtown)
