Where to Have New Year's Day Brunch In and Around Denver

So, you survived New Year’s Eve and now you’re hungry from all that fun. Even though the noisemakers are still ringing in your ears, get out for a filling New Year’s Day Brunch at one of these bars or restaurants. Be sure to enjoy a little hair of the dog while you’re at it. Happy 2015!

Argyll Whisky BeerHave brunch with a touch of the Old Country for New Year’s Day. Argyll is serving a Traditional Corned Beef Hash, Crayfish and Artichoke Stew and a Traditional English Breakfast until 3 PM. For late sleepers, regular dinner service begins at 5 PM. (1035 E 17th Ave.; 303-847-0850)

Centro Latin Kitchen: Recover from the previous evening with some Poached Lobster Huevos Ranchero or Caramelized Rum-Apple Stuffed French Toast. Wash all that deliciousness down with DIY Bloody Marys from the Centro Bloody Mary Bar. (950 Pearl St., Boulder: 303-442-7771)

Humboldt Farm, Fish & Wine: Start 2015 fresh with Humboldt’s new brunch menu. Here is a just a sample of the treats that await, Sausage Cheddar Fritters, Blueberry and Lemon Ricotta Pancakes and Washburn Oysters. Lola Mexican Fish House: Open from 10 AM to 2 PM on New Year’s Day, Lola will serve up a brunch menu featuring Chicharron Benny with pork belly biscuits and a Lobster Green Chile Omelet with butter-poached lobster. Drink up with The Ultimate Bloody made with chile-poached shrimp, house-made pickles, spicy asparagus, bacon and cheese. That just might be a meal in itself. Ignite Burgers & Bar: Let’s just admit what the day really is. Enjoy the Walk of Shame Brunch from 10 AM to 2 PM at Ignite in the Ballpark neighborhood. Enjoy bottomless Mimosas and Bacon Bloody Marys while listening to the mellow sounds of Dave Connelly. The Post Brewing CompanyThis New Year’s Day feast is totally worth the drive up to Lafayette. Get a Bucket of Chicken and a Growler-to-go for only $49. Beer choices are Meathooks, Howdy or Zippy brews. The restaurant will be open from 11 AM to 4 PM serving up The Post’s Good Luck Platter with grilled ham, collard greens, marinated black eye peas and two eggs over easy for eat-in diners. (105 W Emma St., Lafayette; 303-593-2066)

Tamayo: How about a bottomless brunch to feed your NYE hangover? Tamayo in Larimer Square will have unlimited small plates and free-flowing cocktails for $35 per person from 10:30 AM to 2:30 PM. Too early? Come in for happy hour from 2 to 7 PM. (1400 Larimer St.; 720-946-1433)

ViewHouseViewHouse has what you crave for your hangover including Crab Cakes Egg Benedict, French Toast and the famous ViewHouse Breakfast Burrito. Start the day (or finish the evening) with the savory ViewHouse Bloody or a sweet Whiskey Kiss. (2015 Market St.; 720-878-2015)

Wazee Super ClubThe Wazee will open at 11 AM on New Year’s Day ready to cure a hangover with a fabulous breakfast pizza, featuring scrambled eggs, sausage, tomatoes, potatoes and green chile or munch on a regular wood-fired pizza or Stromboli. Zengo & La BibliotecaThese neighboring watering holes in Riverfront Park will also have bottomless brunches for only $35 per person on New Year’s Day.
