Denver is a great place to celebrate New Year’s Eve. There will be parties, fireworks, and plenty of funny hats. The only thing that could make the evening better is a delicious adult beverage in your hand. Here are some places where you can drink while ringing in the New Year in Denver.

New Year’s Eve Fireworks 
16th Street Mall, Downtown
Join a few thousand of your new best friends downtown for the Firework Spectacular on the 16th Street Mall. Costumed entertainers including magicians, mascots, balloon artists, stilt walkers and more will also be there to entertain the crowd while everyone waits for the big firework show in the sky. There will be two shows, a family-friendly early show at 9 PM and another show at midnight. The show is FREE. Keep in mind the 16th Street Mall buses will temporarily suspend service during the two firework shows. Before and after the fireworks you can celebrate with a toast at any of the 16th Street Mall’s watering holes.

Avalanche vs Flyers
Pepsi Center, 1000 Chopper Cir.
Hey, sports fans! Your Colorado Avalanche play the Philadelphia Flyers on New Year’s Eve. Tickets start at $19 and are available online. Then, after the game walk over to the 16th Street Mall for the fireworks show. Game starts at 7 PM.

Grand New Year’s Eve  
Grand Hyatt Denver, 1750 Welton St.
Enjoy this New Year’s Eve party and no need to worry about the drive home. The Grand Hyatt Denver is hosting a huge party with four giant rooms of entertainment. Enjoy an open bar, dinner buffet, champagne toast at midnight and a balloon drop. Featuring four clubs in one, enjoy the Nacho Men, 60s, 70s and 80s music, Mashup Dance Party with Premier Dance Club, Dueling Pianos interactive piano bar, and Karaoke at Pub 17 on Welton Street. Masquerade Countdown
Fado, 1735 19th St.
Celebrate NYE at Fado Irish Pub in LoDo. Enjoy complimentary champagne toast, a DJ and party favors. Tickets are only $20 per person and the party starts at 7 PM.

New Year’s Eve Black Tie
Sherman Street Event Center, 1770 Sherman St.
Have a Black Tie experience at the Sherman at this upscale all-you-can-drink party inside a Denver landmark. The party includes multiple DJs, casino games, confetti blast and champagne toast at midnight. A limited number of tickets are available for $105 per person. When those sell out, the price goes up to $115. Doors open at 8 PM and dress to impress.

NYE Bash
La Biblioteca, 1610 Little Raven St., #200
Enjoy a New Year’s Eve Unlimited Bash Menu at La Biblioteca, Denver’s tequila library in Riverfront Park from 9 PM to 1 AM. The party includes unlimited passed appetizers and select cocktails such as the traditional margarita, well cocktails, red and white wine and draft beer. Tickets are $60 per person and can be purchased by calling 720-904-0965.

New Year’s Eve Dinner
Lola, 1575 Boulder St.
Enjoy an evening of a la carte NYE specials from 5 to 11 PM at Lola in the Highlands. Stay for a complimentary champagne toast at midnight. Call 720-570-8686 for reservations.

Party at Punch Bowl Social  
65 Broadway
Get your groove on at Punch Bowl Social with an 80s cover band, $2.50 PBRs and $6 PBRs with a shot. There will be a balloon drop and champagne toast at midnight complete with hats and noisemakers.

Resolution New Year’s Eve  
McNichols Event Center, 144 W. Colfax Ave.
Join Colorado’s largest 21 and over New Year’s party, Resolution New Year’s Eve. The fun starts at 9 PM and features costumed performers and laser displays, a variety of DJs playing all genre of music, party whistles, hats and other favors and even views of the firework show on the mall. Cap the New Year with a massive balloon drop. The evening will be hosted by FOX 31 personality, Chris Parente. Tickets are $89 and include OPEN BAR. Parking is available at the Denver Post Building for $12. Dress to impress.

String Cheese Incident  
FirstBank Event Center, 11450 Broomfield Ln
SCI fans unite! It’s the third annual Colorado New Year’s Eve concert by String Cheese Incident at the FirstBank Center in Broomfield. Come for one, two or all three nights. Tickets start at $49.50 and the doors open at 7 PM all three nights. A three-day pass is $168.

13th Annual White Rose Gala  
Ellie Caulkins Opera House, Denver Performing Arts Complex
Looking for something high end and elegant? Join the White Rose Gala, now in its 13th year. Go back in time to the Roaring 20s and party with the Fred Astaire crowd. Enjoy a 10-piece big band, the Colorado Swing Cats, with classic music or enjoy Vegas-style DJs. There is even a 1920s Speakeasy lounge with craps and blackjack in the VIP area. General admission tickets are only $69 per person. VIP tickets are $109 per person and include special access to the upper balcony and a private bar. Party starts at 9 PM.

50 Shades of Silver
Tavern Downtown, 1949 Market St.
Have a playful New Year’s Eve at the 50 Shades of Silver party at the Tavern in LoDo. Enjoy an incredible view of the 16th Street Mall fireworks from the Tavern’s rooftop. The night will also include hourly raffles featuring a Grand Prize Vegas giveaway for two, photo booth and balloon drop. Don’t miss the twenty-foot Olive Drop at Midnight. Cost is $25 per person and includes entry to both the Tavern and Cowboy Lounge (two clubs, two DJs), a beer, a Fireball shot, champagne toast and party favors. Doors open at 7 PM.

A New Year's State of Mind at ViewHouse
Ballpark, 2015 Market St.; Centennial, 7101 S. Clinton St.
The rooftop of the ViewHouse Ballpark will be the best spot in town to see the downtown fireworks. The ViewHouse is also hosting a New Year’s State of Mind party that will include a four-course prix fixe dinner, photo booth, midnight toast and balloon drop. Over in the Denver Tech Center, ViewHouse Centennial will celebrate with a New Year, New View: A Black and Gold Affair starring James David, a live band from Los Angeles. The party includes a four-course prix fixe dinner, photo booth, two dance floors, and champagne toast and balloon drop at midnight. Packages for both parties start at $75 per person or $150 per couple. Price includes all the above as well as a bottle of wine and a table for the night.

Before Party Happy Hour

Looking for a starter spot on NYE? Cart-Driver, a newer restaurant in RiNo, will kickoff the new year with a special Before Party Happy Hour. From 3 to 6 PM guests can enjoy complimentary oysters and half-priced glasses of Prosecco on tap. There will be additional specials after 6 PM for the rest of the evening. This event kicks off the bar's new Before and After Happy Hours for the new year. Located near 25th and Larimer, Cart-Driver is located in a reclaimed shipping container complex.
