What's On Tap For the Second Annual Colorado Craft Beer Week, Kicking Off Fri., March 21
The Colorado Brewers Guild presents the second annual Colorado Craft Beer Week starting Friday March 21, and running for nine wonderful days. Events are scattered all over town and all over the state so check the event calendar for a full list of beer-centric events. To help you out, DrinkDenver has selected a few highlights for your craft beer enjoyment:
Epic Brewing
Epic Brewing in RiNo has several events scheduled, but they are the first brewery to kick of Craft Beer Week with Escape to Colorado starting March 21 at 8 AM. This event runs daily and the brewery will donate 25 cents of every Escape to Colorado IPA pint sold to the Colorado Brewers Guild. No tickets required and the fundraiser lasts until 11 PM each day. Collaboration Festival
On Saturday, March 22 is the Collaboration Festival featuring more than 20 beers put together by combinations of various Colorado breweries. What’s on tap? Who knows! You’ll be surprised and delighted at every taste. The current collaboration list includes: Avery and Russian River, Black Fox and TRVE, Caution and Copper Kettle, FATE and Mission (SD), Hogshead and Crooked Stave, Oskar Blues and La Cumbre, Pagosa Springs and RockYard, Wynkoop and Wonderland. Tickets start at $50 and can be purchased online at Imbibedenver.com. The festival runs from 3 to 7 PM. (Curtis Hotel, 1405 Curtis St.)
Colorado Craft Beer Dinner at Lou’s Food Bar
This special beer dinner will be held on Tuesday, March 25, starting at 6 PM. Featured breweries are Avery, Left Hand, Upslope and Prost featuring some delicious food including Kampachi Crudo, smoked Mettwurst, pan-seared snapper and roasted quail. New Kids on the Block at The Lobby
Celebrate Colorado’s newest breweries at this event on Thursday, March 27, from 8 to 11 PM. To make it even more fun, arrive in your best 80s duds and party like it’s 1989. All the beers at this event are from breweries less than two years old. The event also include 80s jams, a beer-themed buffet and a costume contest. Tickets are $25 can be purchased online at Imbibedenver.com and a portion of the proceeds benefit the Colorado Brewers Guild. (2191 Arapahoe St.; 303-997-9911)
Second Annual Western Colorado Craft Beer Celebration at Edgewater Brewery
Some of the state’s best brews come from the Western Slope and these beers will be celebrated in Grand Junction on Saturday, March 29, from 2 to 6 PM at the Edgewater Brewery. $10 gets you unlimited tastings on the lush lawn of the Edgewater. Breweries include Rockslide, Palisade, Ouray, Colorado Boy, Revolution, Glenwood Brewing, 2 Rascals Brewing, Telluride and Copper Club. Enjoy live music all afternoon.
