March Madness is here!
Best Bars in Denver to Grab a Drink and Watch March Madness

Time to get mad, Denver. March Madness is here and we’ve got our brackets filled out and ready to go. Will it be ‘Cuse orange or Shocker yellow? Chances are good for the Buffs to make the tournament for a third straight year. Here are some places where you can support your favorite alma mater and maybe score some great prizes too. Go team!

Blake Street Tavern (2301 Blake St.; 303-675-0505)
With 45 HD big screen TVs no game will be left out at Blake Street Tavern. Starting during the conference games, March Madness specials include Bud, Bud Light and Shocktop specials, Jameson deals, $10 bottomless mimosas and a build-your-own bloody bar.

Chopper’s Sports Grill (80 S. Madison St.; 303-399-4448)
This famous Cherry Creek sports bar has over 50 HD TVs from 18 inches up to 52. There are even TVs in the restrooms so not a moment of madness will be missed. However, watch out for the Jayhawks who take over the bar when KU is airing.

Jake’s Food & Spirits (3800 Walnut St.; 303-295-3800)
Jake’s is hosting a Bracket Challenge March 17 through 20. Fill out March Madness brackets for a chance to win a 32-inch flatscreen TV. Fill out a bracket before the games start and the most accurate bracket at the end wins. During the games, Jake’s will feature $2 PBRs and $5 baskets of balls (meat, hush puppies or fried mac and cheese).

Stoney’s Bar and Grill (1111 Lincoln St.; 303-830-6839)
With more than 30 TVs and lots of drink special, this popular sports bar is large enough to hold all kinds of March Madness. The bar has even posted some NCAA basketball trivia on its blog to gear Denver up for the tournament. The bar’s two 120-inch projection screens will offer up featured games each night.

Tavern (Uptown, Downtown, Lowry, Wash Park, Tech Center, Littleton)
Get your brackets together and get on down to the Tavern. All Tavern locations in Denver and Littleton will host a Brews n’ Brackets contest sponsored by Bud Light and Alice Radio. Brackets must be filled out online between March 16 and 20. Receive game pieces during each visit to any location. Grand prize is a weekend trip for two to Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas. Other prizes include $200 Tavern gift cards. Brews n’ Brackets specials include $1.50 sliders, $5 riblets and $0.75 wings.
