1940s White Christmas Ball, December 7
Enjoy a fabulous 1940s and '50s nostalgia ball at the 4th annual 1940s White Christmas Ball Saturday, December 7, at the Wings Over the Rockies Air and Space Museum in Denver.
Inspired by the Greatest Generation, go back in time with a rock and roll dance party featuring a performance the Queen of Rock herself, Wanda Jackson. See the 23 Skiddo Swing Dancers, aerialist Brandy Dew and an outdoor Christmas Village. Other performers include a 1940's musical tribute to Bing and Danny backed by a 12-piece orchestra. This party features several dinner packages, vintage holiday cocktails, dancing and costume contests and a 1940's retro shopping mall. Dressing in 1940's or 50's attire, including military uniforms, is strongly encouraged.
The party starts at 4PM with VIP access and then continues until 1 AM. General admission tickets are $40 in advance, $45 at the door. Dinner packages are optional and are an additional $18-20. Cash bar also available. Tables for groups of six to 10 people can also be reserved in advance. See the website for more details. Proceeds from the ball benefit The Wounded Warriors Project and The Spirit of Flight Center Colorado.
