A Taste of Iceland in Denver
For a second straight year, A Taste of Iceland is coming to Denver. Embrace the vibrant culture of Iceland at a series of events over four days, September 26-29.
Enjoy an Icelandic menu at Coohills Restaurant September 26-29. This delicious feast will be made by guest Chef Thrainn Freyr Vigfusson with Chef Tom Coohill and features Icelandic Arctic Char, Icelandic Cod and Langoustine and free-range Lamb. Dessert is Icelandic Skyr and wild blueberries. The four-course menu is $65 per person and the five-course menu with wine pairings is $95.
Also at Coohills' will be Icelandic craft cocktail classes from September 27-29. Coohills' Bar Manager Noah Heaney will teach a series of classes using Iceland's award-winning Reyka Vodka. Classes are free, but reservations are required and limited to 25 people.
The highlight of the weekend will be the Reykjavik Calling Concert on Saturday, September 28, with a free concert at 3 Kings Tavern featuring both Denver and Icelandic artists sharing the stage. Listen to Lay Low, Snorri Helgason and Hogni Elgison of Iceland and Jesse Elliot, Esme' Patterson and Tyler Ludwick of Denver. The concert is free, but guests must be 21 and older to enter.
