Join the Suds Safari at 16th Annual Brew at the Zoo, September 13
One of our city's oldest beer festivals is Denver Zoo's Brew at the Zoo — 2013 marks the 16th year of this suds safari, which goes down Friday, September 13. Guests get to enjoy the zoo at twilight when many of the creatures and critters are at their most active, making for a unique beer festival experience.
The event grows bigger and better every year, and will feature food and beer pairings by Dad & Dude's, FATE Brewing, The Irish Snug, Paramount Cafe, Steve's Snappin' Dogs, Tommyknocker and Vine Street Pub, along with the zoo's catering company, Taste of the Wild. Overall, more than 40 breweries from both near and far will provide the suds and more than 15 of Denver's favorite restaurants will provide the eats. Guests — and the animals, we assume — will also enjoy live music throughout the zoo.
Tickets are $75 to the 7–10 PM party (here), and include a souvenir tasting mug and complimentary appetizers. A limited number of "Preview" tickets are avilable for $100 and include entrance to the event an hour early. (Designated driver tickets are available for $30.) Brew at the Zoo always sells out quickly, so order your tickets now. This year's event will benefit the zoo's Red Apple Fund for Lifelong Learning , which support the zoo's efforts for all indivuduals, regardless of ecomonic circumstances, to enjoy the wonders of the zoo's animals and educational programs.
