Epic Beer Festival Hits Denver [PHOTOS]
The folks at Epic Beer Festival took over Denver last weekend when the party hit the Convention Center downtown. What kind of weekend was it? All together now… it was Epic!
The nearly-sold-out festival hosted over 10,000 beer-lovers during three sessions from Friday, June 28, through Saturday, June 29. The VIP sessions, which started an hour before the main event, did sell out entirely. The event featured 157 breweries, each pouring two-three types of beer, including over 40 international brewers such as Dubuisson, Weihenstephan and Liefmans. Gluten-free beers from New Planet and Green’s plus ciders and mead were also available. A portion of the proceeds went to Denver non-profit We Don’t Waste, an organization that takes unused food from restaurants and caterers and distributes them to those in need. Live music was provided by included Acker Jazztet, That Damn Sasquatch, The Bella Jar and the Lost Caravan.
