Celebrate Colorado's Birthday with Stranahan's Colorado Whiskey

Happy Colorado Day!
by Carrie Dow on Jul 18, 2017 in Event Listing

On August 1, 1876, President Ulysses S. Grant signed a proclamation admitting Colorado as the 38 state of the United States of America. To commemorate that event we observe Colorado Day each August. Stranahan's Colorado Whiskey distillery, Colorado's first distillery after prohibition, has a fantastic way to help celebrate our beautiful state by drinking some beautiful Colorado whiskey.

Guests 21 and older can sign up for a free distillery tour on Tuesday, August 1, from 2 to 7 PM. Everyone who comes on a tour on this day will receive a complimentary gift bag that includes a custom Stranahan's/Colorado Day t-shirt and after the tour guests will get to sample the rare Snowflake whiskey release. There will also be cocktail specials in the lounge, live music, and food available for purchase. As a special treat for this special occasion, Barrel 5,000 will be on sale this day only.

As an added bonus, all guests who take the tour will be entered into a Sweepstakes. The winner will receive an all expenses paid four-hour private distillery experience for them and up to 20 of their closest friends. The private tour is a guided VIP experience with special tastings and a fully catered dinner and cocktails in the lounge. Prize value is $3,000. Guests can visit the Stranahan's website for official contest rules and the winner will be drawn on or around Monday, August 7.

Guests do need to sign up for these tours in advance and are asked to check in at least 10 minutes prior to their scheduled tour. Guests can sign up for tours on the Stranahan's website.
