Breckenridge Brewery Announces Grand Opening on Father's Day Weekend
The new Breckenridge Brewery in Littleton that we brought you a sneak peak of in February is just about finished. The nails are hammered, the extension cords are being rolled up and a fresh coat of paint is on the walls. The new brewery is now set for a Grand Opening Weekend, June 20–21.
On Saturday, June 20, the holders of Breckenridge’s Golden Tickets, which have been released throughout the metro area over the last month, will get their first peak at the brewery on a private tour. Only fifty Golden Tickets were given away allowing for the holder and one guest to visit the brewery. Golden Ticket holders will also get to enjoy the first public tapping from the tasting room and a bit of swag from the brewery. This will be the first official tour of the new facility.
Then on Sunday, June 21, which is also Father’s Day, the brewery will begin public tours. Reservations are encouraged and can be made on the brewery’s website.
“We want to create a very personal experience with each tour, so you’ll find that we take our time getting to know small groups of guests and introducing them to Breckenridge Brewery, behind-the-scenes,” says Sarah Kokkeler, Director of the brewery’s Tour Program.
Tours will start in the tasting room, across the plaza from The Farm House restaurant. The tour starts with a 10 oz. pour from the daily tap selection. The tour continues to the brewery’s mezzanine overlooking the 4-vessel, 100-barrel brewhouse, then crossing the outside bridge to the fermentation building and ending at the barrel aging and packaging areas. Tours conclude back at the tasting room with another 4 oz. sample of each visitor’s choice beverage.
Reservations can be made at Breckenridge Brewery website by using the link here. There is a $3 charge for tours and that will cover a generous sampling of Breck Brews plus a portion of this fee will also go to rotating charities. Non-drinkers, including those under 21, can come along on the tour for no charge.
If Mother Nature cooperates, the beer garden will also be open Father’s Day weekend to enjoy after the tours. The beer garden is just west of The Farm House restaurant’s screened-in porch where guests can relax or play some bocce. Guests can also enjoy a meal in the restaurant before or after tours. The Farm House offers an all-American menu featuring what the restaurant calls “Colorado Fresh.”
So if you’ve got a Golden Tickets, congrats lucky ducks, you get the first preview. For the rest of us, start making those reservations. Breckenridge Brewery is finally open!
