Winter Brew Fest Brings Great Beer to Mile High Station, Jan. 23 & 24

Just because the temps have turned chilly doesn’t mean we can’t have a good beer festival. Denver Winter Brew Fest turns 11 years old this year, and to celebrate the event will be held two nights, Friday and Saturday, January 23 and 24. Enjoy beer samples from over 50 different breweries from local to national brands.

Get a VIP ticket for only $45 and enjoy an extra hour of drinking without the crowds. Entry is at 6 PM both nights and includes the Cabot Cheese and Tivoli Beer tasting. General Admission tickets are only $35 and entry begins at 7 PM. VIP tickets can be purchased at the event for $50 and GA tickets will be $40, however they will be cash only at the door. Tickets can be purchased in advance right here.

Winter Beer Fest is also well known for great live music. On Friday, enjoy the music of Josh Blackburn during the VIP hour and then groove to the bluegrass music of Tallgrass for the rest of the evening. On Saturday, the VIP hour will feature Felonios Smith, and then enjoy a blast from the past with Dirty Femmes, a Violent Femmes tribute band.

The folks who produce Winter Beer Fest, RightOn Productions, would like to remind everyone to value the sampling glasses. Because beer tastes best in actual glass, Winter Beer Fest provides souvenir glasses with entry. However, these glasses are breakable. The following request is posted on the website: “Please don’t be a jerk and intentionally drop and break the glasses. We are incorporating a no tolerance policy for anyone caught breaking glass. If caught, you will be removed from the fest immediately…If the breakages continue to be an issue, we will be forced to provide plastic cups at future events.”

Winter Beer Fest will be held at in the historic Mile High Station, just south of Sports Authority Field at Mile High. Food will be available for purchase along with other vendors. Parking is limited so consider taking the Light Rail (use the Federal/Decatur Station) or get a room at nearby SpringHill Suites by Marriott. Special event pricing is available, so see the website for details. Festival proceeds will benefit Swallow Hill Music
