The Drinking Jacket Available for Pre-Order After Successful Kickstarter

by Ryan Hudak on Jan 2, 2015 in Culture

We learned a few days ago about whiskey-scented fabric being put into production, as well as shoes that hold little bottles of Johnnie Walker in the heel. Now, to satisfy everyone with an even stronger desire to have some form of alcohol on their person at all times (generally referred to as “alcoholics”) is the new Drinking Jacket from semi-famed drinker Zane Lamprey.

With more gimmicks than a Coors Light can, the jacket has everything you need to drink non-stop as easily as possible. It features a bottle opener zipper, a flask pocket, a beer koozie pocket and deep side pockets (presumably for bottles). The jacket also has arms that unfold into grippy “drinking mitts” that help you hold on to your bottles and keep your hands warm at the same time. And while it may not be the best idea to pack up the jacket and wear it to school, it seems like it will come in quite handy at a tailgate. It even has an “ID and money pocket” for those days where you don’t feel like carrying a wallet or wearing pants.

The Kickstarter for the jacket has been fully funded, but pre-orders for the jacket are still available in a multitude of colors through early January, with the jacket shipping in March or April. While this doesn’t help you for the rest of the football tailgating year, you’ll be able to get it nice and broken in (ie, puke on it and pass out in the mud) before next season. There is even a name tag you can fill out in case you blacked out and left the jacket somewhere. And for an extra $10, you can throw in their metal detector-proof flask, which happens to fit perfectly in the flask pocket. What a time to be alive!
