Top Irish Bars in Denver

If you're looking for an Irish pub in Denver, you may as well have hit the shamrock lottery, because there are a ton. Did we mention Denver has the largest St. Patrick’s Day Parade west of the Mississippi? Here are our picks for the top Irish bars in the region.

Celtic Tavern: This downtown pub celebrates all things Celtic, which includes Irish, Scottish, Welsh and Cornish culture, beer and whiskey (1801 Blake St.; 303-308-1795). For those the ‘burbs, try the Celtic Tavern at Riverside Downs (2620 W. Belleview Ave., Littleton; 303-795-0709).
Fado’s Irish Pub:  Pronounced “f'doe,” the name is an Irish expression meaning "long ago." This LoDo Irish pub offers Guinness, Harp, Smithwick's and more, as well as combos of all of them poured from the tap (1735 19th St.; 303-297-0066).
The Fainting Goat: Located in the Golden Triangle, this Irish pub has the bonus of an awesome rooftop bar (846 Broadway; 303-945-2323).
Irish Rover Pub: In the historic Baker District you'll find an amazing Irish beer list as well as a great whiskey selection. Head to the roof patio for even more fun (54 S. Broadway; 303-282-4643).
Irish Snug: This Capitol Hill tavern serves a great array of local brews alongside traditional Irish faves, and the corned beef with cabbage is a solid choice. Look for live music on the regular (1201 E. Colfax Ave.; 303-839-1394).
Sheabeen Irish Pub: This Aurora pub is conveniently located two miles east of the Iliff Avenue exit on I-225 (2300 S. Chambers Rd., Aurora; 303-696-6131).
Ned Kelly’s Irish Pub: Another dive that has a selection of brew and brown spirits that will surprise, this Littleton bar is a fun place to kick back and hang (5686 S Sycamore St., Littleton; 720-283-8717).
Slattery’s Irish Pub: Since it's located in the Denver Tech Center, you might catch several suits here, but don't let that stop you from relaxing with a pint or glass of whiskey (5364 Greenwood Plaza Blvd., Greenwood Village; 303-741-2115).
