What's Open on Christmas Day In and Around Denver
Christmas is a time for families, friends and togetherness, but that doesn’t mean you and all your relatives have to spend the day cooped up in the house. After all the presents are opened and the carols are sung, get up, get out and enjoy a day on the town. Here are a few places that will be open on Christmas Day.
The Bark Bar: Release the hounds! The Bark Bar is open 5 to 10 PM Christmas Day. Enjoy Buy One, Get One cans of beer all night. (4132 W. 38th Ave.; 720-550-6970)
Highland Tap and Burger: While this popular Highlands burger joint will be closed Christmas Eve, the doors open again at 5 PM Christmas Day for an evening of drinking after celebrating the holiday. The bar is full service with plenty of beers and craft cocktails, while the kitchen is serving the late night menu only.

Second Home Kitchen + Bar: Second Home located in the J.W. Marriott in Cherry Creek will offer two holiday dining experiences. The PJ Brunch is for the family and kids eight and under wearing PJs eat for free. The Brunch is from 7 AM to 2 PM and features DIY Bloody Marys and bottomless Mimosas. Then, from 4–8 PM is the Holiday Dinner featuring a selection of small plates and entrees along with a full service bar.
Sonoma’z Wine Bar & Grill: Somona’z is offering a Christmas Brunch that is $32.95 for adults and $12.95 for kids. Pair it with a special bottle from the restaurant’s extensive wine list.

The Nickel: Located in the Hotel Teatro, The Nickel will be open for regular hours on Christmas, 11 AM to 10 PM, but will feature a holiday brunch in the morning followed by regular dinner and bar service in the evening. (1100 14th St.; 720-889-2128)
ViewHouse: Both locations of the ViewHouse will open the doors at 5 PM Christmas Day to greet guests for a low-key holiday dinner. The regular menu will be available along with craft cocktails, wine and beer. (
