Best Places to Enjoy Brunch and Cocktails in Denver
Nothing says “lazy Sunday” better than having brunch. A good brunch is where time stands still, the food and drink are endless and the conversation flows. You can find many places in Denver where that happens. May all your pancakes be fluffy and your cocktails bottomless.
Ale House at Amato’s (2501 16th St.; 303-433-9734)
Amato’s is brunch with a view. Located on the corner of 16th and Central in the Highlands, guests can enjoy brunch overlooking the Denver skyline. The upstairs deck also has heaters for chilly days. Along with the house’s 42 beers on tap, Ale House brunch cocktails are the Agave Wheat Mimosa, Ale House Bloody, El Picante Sol and the regular Mimosa. The view starts at 10 AM Saturday and Sunday.
Marlowe’s (501 16th St.; 303-595-3700)
Breakfast is served at Marlowe’s both Saturday and Sunday and features signature skillets, omelettes and other hearty fare. Cocktails include a $5 Bloody Mary bar and $9 bottomless Mimosas. Get up early for this one because it starts at 9 AM.
Paris on the Platte (1553 Platte St.; 303-455-2451)
Enjoy brunch with a touch of François every day of the week. Dine on crepes, benedicts and omelettes, oui oui. Libations include the Pomosa with Three Olives Pomegranate Vodka, along with traditional Bloody Marys and bottomless Mimosas. La brunch starts at 8 AM and goes until 1 PM weekdays and until 2 PM weekends.
The Corner Office (1401 Curtis St.; 303-825-6500)
Denver’s most unique brunch is the Disco Brunch at TCO. Complete with DJ spinning 70s classics, this is a brunch that is as fun as it is delicious. Enjoy bottomless Mimosas and one of Denver’s largest Bloody Mary bars. Also one of Denver’s longest brunches, the dancing is from 7 AM to 3 PM.
Second Home Kitchen + Bar (150 Clayton Ln.; 303-253-3000)
Come as you are at Second Home in Cherry Creek. Sundays feature a Pajama Brunch at this hotel restaurant and bar. Food consists of shareable plates, soups and sandwiches along with brunch regulars pancakes and bagels. Our preference is the Bag O’ Doughnuts for only $4. Cocktails include the DIY Bloody Mary bar, bottomless Mimosas and sparking Lunetta Prosecco or Chandon Brut.
ViewHouse (2015 Market St.; 720-878-2015)
Another bar with a view, the ViewHouse near Coors Field offers brunch at 10 AM on Sunday and features an Exhibition Station where guests can build their own omelette or burrito next to the View’s “Best Damn Bloody Mary bar” where they can build their own Bloody.
Zengo (1610 Little Raven St.; 720-904-0965)
For brunch with a global flavor, head over to Zengo in Riverfront Park. Brunch is both Saturday and Sunday and $35 gets guests unlimited small plates and free flowing cocktails. The cocktails include brunch staples Bloody Marys and Mimosas next to Sangria and Bloody Marias or sweeten up the Mimosa with passion fruit, guava or blood orange juice. Brunch is Saturday and Sunday from 10:30 AM to 2:30 PM.
