Celebrate Cider Week Colorado at the 2nd Annual The Pressed Conference

The Rocky Mountain Cider Association (RMCA) announced that Cider Week Colorado and The Pressed Conference will return to Denver May 22-28. The Pressed Conference is Colorado’s premier cider festival, bringing together cider makers, enthusiasts, aficionados and orchardists from the Rocky Mountain region for a weeklong celebration of all things cider.

“Cider is really happening now, but actually it’s been happening for a while, we’re just getting the word out,” says Dick Dunn, President of RMCA. “The Pressed Conference will put an amazing number and diversity of ciders out for people to try, and Cider Week Colorado will bring it home to their restaurants and bars.”

The RMCA and several local cideries will host events throughout the week. Guests are invited to learn what happens behind the scenes of cider making, meeting the people who make ciders and to explore all the cider the region has to offer.

“We want people to understand that this is local and regional. We’re not Napa and Sonoma; we’re Colorado, Montana, New Mexico, Utah, Arizona,” says Dunn. “We’re making something that is a part of us, a part of our history and our evolving traditions.”

The Pressed Conference will be held on Saturday, May 27, from 2-5 PM at Denver’s Highlands Masonic Event Center. Open to the public, it is the largest craft cider festival in Colorado and will featuring unlimited tastings from dozens of cideries from across the Mountain West. Cideries from near and far will be there including Anthem, Big B’s, Eden, Oliver’s, Portland Cider Company, Ribela Natural Cider, Talbott’s and Wild Cider. Denver cideries include Colorado Cider Company and Stem Ciders. Guests can also relax on the grassy grounds and play lawn games.

Tickets are $45 per person and can be purchased online at The Pressed Conference website. A full list of events for Cider Week Colorado are also available online at the RMCA website.
