Bars and Restaurants Open on New Year's Day in Denver

In many ways, January 1 is the best day of the year. A clean slate awaits, and it’s easy to imagine doing anything and accomplishing everything. However, it’s can also be a tough day — especially for those of us who took advantage of New Year’s Eve parties the night before.

Happily, plenty of bars will be open and serving on New Year’s Day. Check out our list to find out where to cure your hangover with hair of the dog brunch specials or set a precedent for the year with a great night out. Happy 2013!

Avenue Grill: Open at 11 AM with $2 Bellinis, Bloody Marys and mimosas through 4 PM and then with $5 martinis and wine through 11 PM.

Billy’s Inn: Open at 10 AM for brunch.

The Corner Office: Open 6 AM–midnight.

DazzleJazz: Open regular hours with $27 Holiday brunch and $10 bottomless mimosas.

Elway’s Downtown: Open regular hours.

Ernie’s Bar & Pizza: Open 11 AM–midnight featuring happy hour all day.

Fado: Open at 4 PM with $4 Smithwicks, Boddingtons, Sailor Jerry, Fireball, and Stoli specials.

Fogo de Chao: Open 11:30 AM–2 PM and 5–10:30 PM.

Gallup Cafe: Open through 3 PM for brunch.

The Jelly Cafe: Open regular hours.

Linger: Open 10 AM–3 PM for prix-fixe brunch, $32 per person includes “topless” mimosas.

Marlowe’s: Open at 10 AM with Bloody Mary bar and bottomless mimosas through 4 PM. Open through close with regular happy hour specials from 4–7 PM.

Mellow Mushroom: Open 11 AM–10 PM.

Parallel 17: Open 5–10 PM.

Polished Tavern: Open regular hours.

Stoney’s Bar & Grill: Open early for football games.

Steuben’s: Open 8 AM–11 PM with hybrid brunch/dinner menu.
