Where to Find Beer and Om in Denver

Namaste

Beer and Yoga go together like Hops and Barley. In Denver there are a variety of ways to get in your poses and enjoy a cool beer afterward because that’s what we do here. Just like Denver’s breweries, these yoga classes are inclusive and friendly so everyone can take part. No matter whether you are a master yogi or just a beer connoisseur looking for an excuse to try a new brewery, there is a yoga class for you. Namaste!

MOBILE YOGA CLASSES

Poses and Pints
Poses and Pints offers a variety of classes around town and not just at breweries, but parks, dance clubs and other fun spots. On Wednesday, August 16, they will begin monthly installments of  Yoga and Happy Hour at The Platte River Bar and Grill in Littleton at 5 PM. Enjoy a one hour class, no experience necessary, followed by a drink included with your ticket and an extended happy hour menu. Cost is $20 per person and a spot can be reserved online at the Poses website. (Various Locations)

YogaZo Pints & Planks Class
YogaZo is a mobile yoga studio that offers one-hour classes at a variety of breweries around town. Classes are $10 per person (cash only, please!) and afterward enjoy one free pint from the brewery. For August feature breweries are Epic Brewing Company in RiNo on select Sunday mornings, Grandma’s House Brewery on SoBro on alternating Thursdays evenings and Bierstadt Lagerhaus/C Squared Ciders near Ballpark on alternating Saturday mornings. Check the YogaZo website for the full class schedule with locations and times to see if they offer a class near you. (Various Locations)

REGULAR BREWERY CLASSES

Apres Yoga at Alpine Dog Brewery
Every Sunday enjoy a downward dog before sipping an Alpine Dog beer. Breathe, Bend and Brew classes are taught by Denelle Numis and cost $15 per person and include a pint after class. If you want to make this a regular thing, punch cards for five classes and five pints cost $75. Classes begin at 10:30 AM and while the instructor has some extra mats available, guests should bring their own. (1505 N. Ogden St.; 303-832-1245)

Brewhouse Yoga at Factotum Brewhouse
Start your Sunday Funday right with some Asanas at Factotum in the Highlands. Classes are led by instructor Mary Susan Stults and begin at the not too early hour of 11 AM. Cost is $15 per person and includes a beer on the house afterward. Classes are not held every Sunday so check the brewery’s calendar for official dates. (3845 Lipan St.; 720-441-4735)

Hoppy Yogis at Great Divide Brewing
On the first Wednesday of the month these classes are held at Great Divide Brewery and feature yoga instructors from Denver’s CorePower Yoga in RiNo. Guests can enjoy a free yoga class with hands-on adjustments and tunes from a live DJ. While the class is free, the beer afterward is pay as you go. Bring your own mat and get there early to get a parking spot because these classes are popular. Doors open at 5:30 PM and class begins at 6 PM. Note class is at the Barrel Bar in RiNo, not the brewery in Ballpark. (1812 35th St.; 303-296-9460)

Vino & Vinyasa at Infinite Monkey Theorem Winery
Yoga also goes well with wine. Infinite Monkey Theorem Urban Winery offers yoga classes in a variety of ways, days and times. The popular Vino & Vinyasa classes run once a month on Saturdays and includes a free yoga class by CorePower Yoga of RiNo. Then afterward enjoy $5 tap wines, mimosas and wine slushies. The winery also offers unique one-time classes such as Feed the Soul Brunch and Yoga. To find classes, just check the winery’s calendar for dates and times. On Saturday, August 12, the winery is offering a special Puppy Yoga class at 1 PM. Enjoy a donation-based yoga class with an instructor from CorePower Yoga and then afterward have a meet and greet with adorable adoptable animals from Paws Co. (3200 Larimer St.; 303-736-8376)

Glow Flow Silent Disco at ViewHouse Ballpark
On select Tuesday evenings the downtown ViewHouse offers free yoga from CorePower Yoga held in the outdoor courtyard. The class features wireless glowing LED headphones supplying yoga beats to the students. The yoga is free and afterward participants can enjoy food and drink specials. Classes begin at 7 PM. Check the Ballpark calendar for dates. (2015 Market St.; 720-306-9008)

Yoga on the Green at ViewHouse Centennial and Littleton
On select summer Sundays guests can enjoy a free yoga class led by CorePower Yoga instructors beginning at 10 AM in the outdoor courtyards of both the Centennial and Littleton locations. After class stay for brunch with free bottomless mimosas or cold-pressed juices with the purchase of an entrée. There are also class giveaways and guests must bring their own mat. Visit the ViewHouse calendar for dates. (Centennial, 7101 S. Clinton St.; 303-835-9300:Littleton, 2680 W. Main St.; 303-797-4829)
